Supporting early discharge after TAVI with 93.92% completed follow-up calls across a 274-patient study

Summary
This study evaluated the safety of very early and early discharge compared with standard discharge, supported by close follow-up with LOLA. 274 consecutive patients who underwent transfemoral TAVI in 2023 and met the inclusion criteria were followed by LOLA, with calls at week 1, week 2, week 4, month 3 and month 12 after discharge focused on vascular access and cardiovascular status. Alerts were reviewed by the medical team, who took the appropriate action.

With LOLA, we closely monitor 255 patients in the pre–aortic valve implantation phase and have been able to bring forward 46 procedures whose need for intervention would not have been detected in time otherwise. Severe aortic stenosis is potentially life-threatening, and this AI-powered phone follow-up allows us to act on any early warning signs.
