Recognized in the ‘Supporting Elective Recovery through Digital’ category for its implementation of LOLA, Tucuvi’s Clinical Conversational AI

South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) has been shortlisted for the HSJ Digital Awards 2025 in the ‘Supporting Elective Recovery through Digital’ category, recognizing its commitment to digital innovation in patient care through the implementation of LOLA, Tucuvi’s safe and clinically validated Conversational AI.

With a record-breaking 432 entries and 205 shortlisted projects, the HSJ Digital Awards celebrate organizations leveraging technology to drive transformative change in healthcare.

SWFT’s nomination highlights the impact of LOLA, safely and effectively deployed within the Trust’s Wheelchair Service to enhance referral management and streamline clinical processes.

By automating initial screenings through autonomous phone conversations, the service has improved efficiency, ensured timely triage, and allowed clinical teams to focus on direct patient care.

Bridgit Vorster-Gibbons, Principal Occupational Therapist at SWFT, shared:

We are delighted to be recognized for our work in transforming the referral process through digital innovation. AI-powered automation has been a game changer in allowing us to manage increasing referrals more efficiently while ensuring patients receive the right level of care in a timely manner. By streamlining screening, our clinicians can focus on providing hands-on support where it’s most needed, ultimately improving patient outcomes.

The winners of the HSJ Digital Awards 2025 will be announced on June 26, 2025, celebrating outstanding achievements in digital healthcare innovation.
